Wannapong Kotcharak, Permanent Secretary of Labour, together with senior Ministry of Labour executives, attended the meeting at the Prasong Rananant Conference Room, 5th Floor, Ministry of Labour Building.

To assist flood victims in Nan Province, Mr. Julapun delegated representatives to launch the “Repair, Build, Happiness” activity on the ground from August 26, mobilising teams of skilled workers to repair electrical systems and small engines for residents, providing urgent employment to clean roads and public areas, and allocating urgent assistance funds totalling over 570,000 Baht to alleviate hardship and restore the area as swiftly as possible.

Additionally, the meeting followed up on progress in advancing Thailand’s position on International Labour Organization (ILO) Conventions, including Convention No. 189 on Decent Work for Domestic Workers, Convention No. 183 on Maternity Protection, and Conventions No. 87 and 98 on Freedom of Association and the Right to Collective Bargaining, to protect the rights of and improve the quality of life of Thai workers to meet international standards.

On information technology system development, the Ministry of Labour has accelerated data integration through a Big Data system in collaboration with government and private sector agencies, to serve as a database for analysing the labour situation and issuing labour-related early warnings. This has been carried out alongside the official launch and trial of the “Traffy Fondue” platform on August 28, 2026, to improve the efficiency of receiving complaints and resolving public grievances promptly.

The meeting also prepared for the seminar to put the Ministry of Labour policy into practice for fiscal year 2027, scheduled for September 25, 2026, at The Emerald Hotel, Bangkok. The event will feature a policy handover ceremony and a press conference by the Minister of Labour, as well as a ceremony to present shields and insignia of honour to officials and those who have rendered distinguished service, to boost morale for continued work.
