Labour Minister Follows Up on Progress for National Labour Day 2019 Event

            On April 22, 2019, at 09.30 hours, Labour Minister, H.E. Police General Adul Sangsingkeo chaired the meeting to follow up on the progress of the National Labor Day 2019, which cook place Prof. Nikom Chandravithu conference room, 5th floor, Department of Labour Protection and Welfare. Permanent Secretary of Labour Mr. Jarin Chakkaphark along with the ministry’s senior executives also joined the meeting.

 

 

            The meeting reported progress in organizing the National Labour Day 2019. This year, activities will include a monk ceremony at 07.00 – 07.00 hours hosted by Labour Minister H.E. Police General Adul Sangsingkeo at the Taewakumrungruk at the Royal Thai Army Club. At 08.30 hours the royal procession will commence honouring His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn Bodindradebayavarangkun, whereby the Ministry of Labour will have a parade, the Confederation of Thai Labour will have a procession comprising 15 confederations, the State Enterprises Worker’s Federation of Thailand will have a march and informal worker groups will have 20 processions. The parade will begin from the Army Stadium on Vibhavadi-Rangsit road to the Bangkok Youth Center (Thai-Japan) at 11.00 hours where the opening ceremony of the National Labour Day 2019 will commence, presided by Prime Minister General Prayuth Chan-ocha. The party will then greet workers at Wes Sports Building 2, Bangkok Youth Center (Thai-Japan) and visit the exhibition of the agencies under the Ministry of Labour at the Social Security Office’s booth. At 13.00 – 17.00 hours there will be performances by singers and artists. The opening ceremony will be broadcasted live on NBT.
