Labour Minister Receives Consumer Goods from Private Sector to Support Workforce Overcome COVID-19

            On September 16, 2021, Labour Minister Mr. Suchart Chomklin received consumer goods from two companies in the private sector. The first was Sea Value PCL, represented by Dr. Poth Aramwattananon, who donated 5,000 bags of rice. The second was the AEON Thailand Foundation, which donated 300 sets of survival bags. The donations were made for the Ministry of Labour to support workers affected by COVID-19. Assistant to the Labour Minister Mr. Surachai Chaitrakulthong, the Labour Minister’s Advisor, Mrs. Thiwalrat Angkinan, Secretariat to the Labour Minister Mr. Suthep Chitayawong, Police Major General Nantachat Supamongkol from the Office of the Prime Minister’s Secretariat, performing duties for the Ministry of Labour, the Ministry of Labour’s Spokesperson (on politics) Mrs. Theanrat Nawamawat, Permanent Secretary of Labour Mr. Suthi Sukosol, and the Ministry of Labour’s executives also joined the occasion at the foyer on the first floor, Ministry of Labour building. Mr. Suchart said that Prime Minister and Defense Minister General Prayuth Chan-ocha and Deputy Prime Minister General Prawit Wongsuwan, who oversees the Ministry of Labour, are concerned about the workforce and the general public amid the COVID-19 situation.

            “Today, the Ministry of Labour thanks both private sector companies, including Sea Value PCL for the rice, and AEON Thailand Foundation for the survival bags. With the donations, the Ministry of Labour will support workers who have been affected by COVID-19. The effort helps lighten the burden and build morale in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic to overcome this situation together,” concluded Mr. Suchart.
