Labour Minister Receives Donations for Flood Victims from the Thai Chamber of Commerce and the Board of Trade of Thailand

            On September 27, 2022, at 15.00 hours, the Labour Minister Mr. Suchart Chomklin presided over the receipt of donations from the Thai Chamber of Commerce and the Board of Trade of Thailand, by the Thai Tuna Industry Association, the Thai Pet Food Trade Association, the Thai Frozen Food Association, and the Thai Broiler Processing Exporters Association. Mr. Poj Aramwattananon, Vice Chairman of the Thai Chamber of Commerce and Chairman of the Labour and Skill Development Committee, was the representative for donating items to help people affected by floods in various areas, worth over 2 million Baht. The occasion occurred at the foyer on the Ministry of Labour’s ground floor. The Labour Minister thanked the executives from the Thai Chamber of Commerce and the Board of Trade of Thailand for donating the items. This reflects the Thai people’s spirit for not abandoning each other during difficult times, shown during COVID-19 and the current flooding situation. The Deputy Prime Minister and Acting Prime Minister General Prawit Wongsuwan, who supervises the Ministry of Labour, has given importance to solving flooding issues as quickly as possible by managing the country’s water systems. He expressed concern for all workers and people who have suffered from flooding. Therefore, the Labour Minister has instructed each department under the Ministry of Labour to jointly campaign and publicize to employers and employees to be aware of the flood situation and provide assistance according to the roles and duties of each agency, as well as working together with relevant agencies in assisting people in the area.
