Labour Minister Reports SSO Expediting Payment to Relatives of the Deceased from Nakhon Si Thammarat Flooding

          Labour Minister Mr. Suchart Chomklin reported that the Social Security Office had expedited the payment of benefits for the four deceased insured persons’ relatives from the flooding in Nakhon Si Thammarat. Relevant agencies have gathered a team of technicians to repair electrical equipment, bicycles, and small agricultural machines, to help relieve the people’s suffering.

          On December 5, 2020, Labour Minister Mr. Suchart Chomklin spoke about assisting those affected by the floods in Nakhon Si Thammarat province. He said that Prime Minister General Prayuth Chan-ocha is concerned for the people and urged all agencies in the area to integrate and expedite urgent assistance. The Ministry of Labour’s Social Security Office’s Secretary-General Mr. Tosapol Kritawongwiman received a report from the Nakhon Si Thammarat Social Security Office that officials have checked tracked the status of 12 people who died from the flood. Four people were insured persons: 1. Ms. Wipharat Maikhang, an insured person under Section 30, will receive funeral assistance, compensation for death, and a pension fund excluding interest, and compensation in the event of unemployment (remaining), totaling 104,561.37 Baht 2. Mr. Komol Daengkhao ended his insurance policy under Section 30 in December 1999. He will receive a pension fund of 703.80 Baht 3. Mr. Somboon Languagekol, an insured person under Section 33 who ended his policy in July 2020. There was an accumulated contribution to the pension fund of 3,798.80 Baht 4. Mrs. Jiraporn Wongsawat, an insured person under Section 33, ended her in February 2016. There was an accumulated contribution to the pension fund of 53,478.36 Baht. The Social Security Office of Nakhon Si Thammarat Province. Has coordinated those who are eligible to receive the said benefits and will continue to hand over the benefits to the deceased’s heirs.

          Mr. Suchart spoke about helping affected people after the water recedes so that the situation returns to normal quickly. On Monday, December 7, Prime Minister and Minister of Defense General Prayuth Chan-ocha and committee have a schedule to visit Nakhon Si Thammarat to monitor the situation, provide assistance, encouragement and give consumer goods people affected by the floods. The Nakhon Si Thammarat Provincial Labour Office has coordinated with the Nakhon Si Thammarat Office of Skill Development 22 and agencies under the Ministry of Labour in the area set a plan to organize a team of technicians to repair electrical equipment, bicycles, and small agricultural engine repair at Baan Noen Thammang Arts and Crafts Center, Mae Chao Yu Hua, Chian Yai, Nakhon Si Thammarat Province, to provide services to the people on December 7 as well.
