Labour Minister’s Advisor Visits Ratchaburi to Commence Training for Target Groups to Enhance Opportunities for New Careers and Income

         On October 26, 2022, the Labour Minister’s Advisor, Mrs. Thiwalrat Angkinan, chaired the opening of the training in the labour training program for specific target groups to increase career opportunities. The training offered a course on making wood stucco products for decoration. The occasion occurred at the Chet Samian Subdistrict Municipality Office, Photharam District, Ratchaburi Province. The Ratchaburi Provincial Deputy Governor, Mr. Angkun Silathewakul, and Mayor of Chet Samian Subdistrict, Mr. Thewan Huangtrakul, gave a welcome. Heads of government agencies under the Ministry of Labour in Ratchaburi Province also joined the occasion. The Labour Minister’s Advisor also paid a visit to the training participants in the course on techniques for installing inverter air conditioner systems like a professional technician. The course was offered in collaboration between the Ratchaburi Institute of Skill Development 4 and Casper Electric (Thailand) Co., Ltd. It took place at the conference room of the Ratchaburi Institute of Skill Development 4.
         Mrs. Thiwalrat said that the government under the leadership of the Prime Minister and Minister of Defense, General Prayuth Chan-ocha, Deputy Prime Minister General Prawit Wongsuwan, who supervises the Ministry of Labour, and the Labour Minister Mr. Suchart Chomklin, emphasizes the development of vocational skills for workers who lack skills and professional knowledge. The initiative aims to develop the working age to have the necessary competencies, new skills, and knowledge to meet the needs of the labour market.
         Mrs. Thiwalrat continued that skills development for specific target groups and people affected by the COVID-19 crisis, the integration between the public and private sectors, aims to develop skills for workers to be knowledgeable, competent, and skilled. It aims to provide them with new career options to support the economic and social recovery of the country, as well as to improve on old skills to make a career in the labour market. It aims to increase opportunities to earn an income, create professional sustainability and self-reliance, and allow society to recognize the potential of their work. It also promotes the development of the potential of specific target groups to become the workforce following changing labour market demands to drive the economy and support the aging society.
