Labour Office in Japan Participates in Orientation for IM Japan Trainees for 2015

 On the 12th and 28th May 2015, IM Japan by Minister Counsellor (on labour) Mrs. Suchada Cheecharoen, the Labour Office in Japan, the Royal Thai Embassy in Tokyo and committee attended the orientation session for the 2015 Batch of IM Japan, consisting of 2 batches (batch B27-1 and batch B27-2) with a total of 20 participants and 14 participants respectively. The orientation session took place at the training center in Kasukabe city in Saitama, one a half hours away from Tokyo.

The orientation session took place at the training center in Kasukabe city in Saitama, one a half hours away from Tokyo.

The topics covered in the orientation sessions included worker benefits, social security, welfare in the event of an accident and disease at work, as well as controlling expenses, inappropriate behaviour and understanding social norms. Booklets were provided to the trainees to keep, as well as prayer readings. The participants were advised to use Dharma as a tool to anchor the mind, aligning to the Labour Minister’s (General Surasak Karnjanarat) project for workers to follow the five commandments.

The trainees showed interest and great enthusiasm, giving their word to work diligently and efficiently, completing the 3 years program and avoiding alcohol, drugs and other enticements whereby returning to Thailand with dignity, high income, knowledge and language skills in order to continue adding value to their work.
