Labour Office in Taipei Joins “2015 International Workshop on Strategies for Combating Human Trafficking” Meeting

On the 29th July 2015, labour advisor Miss Sadudee Kittisuwan participated in the “2015 International Workshop on Strategies for Combating Human Trafficking” meeting which took place at the Taipei Evergreen International Convention Center. The meeting was arranged by the Taiwan Immigration Agency, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Taiwan, the Taiwanese Ministry of Labour and the Taiwanese Tourism Bureau.

 

On the 29th July 2015, labour advisor Miss Sadudee Kittisuwan participated in the “2015 International Workshop on Strategies for Combating Human Trafficking” meeting which took place at the Taipei Evergreen International Convention Center. The meeting was arranged by the Taiwan Immigration Agency, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Taiwan, the Taiwanese Ministry of Labour and the Taiwanese Tourism Bureau.

 

          The meeting included Taiwan’s President Ma Ying-jeou who presided over the commencement ceremony. In his speech he spoke about Taiwan’s past in enforcing laws with severe consequences, as well as its fair and effective resolutions to human trafficking to the extent that Taiwan fell in to the tier 1 category in The Trafficking in Persons Report (TIP Report by the United States of America) for 6 consecutive years. The meeting invited people with knowledge and experience from many countries to take part in lecturing and explaining to the meeting participants which included the United States of America, the United Kingdom, the Republic of Korea and Thailand for example.
