Minebea Thanks PM, Deputy PM, and Labour Minister for Supporting Remedies and Vaccinations for Employees to Overcome COVID-19

On January 5, 2022, Labour Minister Mr. Suchart Chomklin welcomed Mr. Shiozaki San, President of Minebea Public Company Limited, together with his delegation on the occasion of meeting to express appreciation to the government, Prime Minister General Prayuth Chan-ocha, Deputy Prime Minister General Prawit Wongsuwan, and the Labour Minister. He thanked them for providing remedial assistance and vaccinations to the company’s employees, enabling them to overcome the COVID-19 crisis in the past year.

Mr. Suchart said that today, Minebea PCL is an establishment of automotive parts, manufacturing bearings, different sized motors, and medical equipment sold worldwide with investments in 22 countries. In Thailand, there are 38,000 employees, led by Mr. Shiozaki San, the company’s president. The company representatives met to give New Year blessings and express their gratitude for the government’s contribution to vaccinations and remedies for its employees. The company continued its business, causing no effect on business results. As a result, the company’s chief executives appreciate the sincerity of the Thai government towards foreign investors. It is a good sign that foreign investors see the government’s good intentions.

Mr. Shiozaki San, President of Minebea Public Company Limited, said that the Ministry of Labour has launched the Factory Sandbox project and vaccinated all 38,000 employees, giving customers confidence and confidence in the production process. The company could produce and export products continuously, making the business run more efficiently. Additionally, Thailand’s preventive measures against COVID-19 are considered the strongest among the 22 countries Minebea has investments in. This made the company’s management believe and decided to invest in Thailand for 3,000 million Baht this year. The factory has already started construction and will begin operating in the middle of this year by recruiting nearly 500 more Thai workers.

“In addition, Mr. Shiozaki San, chairman of Minebea, also submitted a request through me that If possible, he would like to meet with the Prime Minister to thank him in the next opportunity,” concluded Mr. Suchart.
