Minister Counsellor attends ceremony to mark 18th anniversary of Wat Buddhavihara Temple in Germany

On June 16, 2013, official from Office of Labour Affairs in Berlin led by Mrs. Nongnuth Phetcharatana, Thai Ambassador to Germany, Mrs. Kanchanaporn Saikal, Minister Counsellor (Labour Affairs) and Ms. Waratip Supachawarote, First Secretary (Consular) joined a ritual ceremony to mark the 18th anniversary of Wat Buddhavihara Temple in Germany.

 

Thai ambassador, who represented the laypersons, placed the Dharmacakra in front of the main building of the temple and chaired the robe offering ceremony. At the event, there were cultural performances by local Thai ladies association and youths, Thai massage service performed by trainees who have joined labour skill standard testing for level 1 massage therapist. Over 1,000 Thai and German people joined the event.

 

On the occasion of taking her new post as minister counselor (Labour Affairs), Mrs. Kanchanaporn paid respect to Phra Maha Payom Sutatsano, the abbot of the temple, and discussed ways to assist Thai workers in Germany.
