Minister Counsellor (labour affairs) joined signing ceremony on crime-fighting agreement

       On 17 January 2013 at The National Police Agency, Ministry of Interior, Taiwan and Thailand held signing ceremony on crime-fighting agreement aimed at curbing a growing number of cross-border scams and other crimes. In this regard, Chen mMhing Jen, representative of  Taipei Economic and Cultural Office to Thailand and Dr. Kriangsak Kittichaisaree, Executive Director of Thai Trade Economic Office, Taipei signed the agreement.

In this regard, Chen mMhing Jen, representative of  Taipei Economic and Cultural Office to Thailand and Dr. Kriangsak Kittichaisaree, Executive Director of Thai Trade Economic Office, Taipei signed the agreement.

Taiwan’s police chief Wang Cho-chiun revealed that the coordination between Thai and Taiwan went well.  Since 2009, a total of 32 lawsuits and  417 people have been arrested for their alleged involvement in cross-border fraud as a result of joint investigations by Taiwanese and Thai police. He further said “after signing the MOU, it is a milestone in police cooperation that can achieve better results in intelligence exchange, investigation, coordinated operations, and extradition”
