Ministry of Labour Joins Thanyarak Foundation under Royal Patronage to Promote Lower Rates of Breast Cancer Among Personnel

          The Ministry of Labour by the Housewives Association joined hands with the Thanyarak Foundation under Royal Patronage to organize the “We Volunteer to do Good Deeds with Heart”. The Ministry of Labour is carrying on the royal consecration of the Late Princess Mother in “Thai Women Free of Breast Cancer” to promote lower rates of breast cancer, create morale and provide welfare for personnel of the Ministry of Labour and members of the Housewife Association.
          On November 2, 2018, at 09.30 hours, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Rattana Chakkaphark, President of the Ministry of Labour’s Housewife Association presided over the opening ceremony of the “We Volunteer to do Good Deeds with Heart” project, carrying on the royal consecration of the Late Princess Mother in “Thai Women Free of Breast Cancer”. Professor Emeritus Dr. Samang Kururataphan, Vice President of Thanyarak Center gave a sermon to participants, including the Ministry of Labour’s executive committee and personnel, totaling over 100 people who joined the ceremony at the ground floor of the Ministry of Labour.
 

The “We Volunteer to do Good Deeds with Heart” project is the Ministry of Labour carrying on the royal consecration of the Late Princess Mother in “Thai Women Free of Breast Cancer”, organized by the Ministry of Labour, Housewives Association and Thanyarak Foundation under the patronage of Her Royal Highness the Princess Mother. The event will take place between October 31 – November 2, 2018 which will include an exhibition that features demonstrations, mobile screening by mammography and ultrasound, and a question and answer session by expert physicians. The purpose is to “recognize the royal virtues of HRH Princess Srinagarindra in keeping Thai women safe from breast cancer and in remembrance of the royal grace of HRH Princess Galyani Vadhana and celebration of HRH Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn, Honorary President of Thanyarak Foundation.” This is in line with the vision of the Thanyarak Foundation, to lead a comprehensive and advanced breast cancer diagnosis, and be a center for the dissemination of knowledge about the diagnosis and prevention of breast cancer so that Thai women are risk-free of breast cancer, in accordance with HRH Princess Srinagarindra, the founder’s vision. In addition, it will create a network of practitioners to share awareness on breast cancer to recognize the importance of early breast cancer screening to reduce the incidence of disease, decrease cancer and death rates and reduce the incidence of breast cancer in target groups of the Ministry of Labour. It will also create morale and become welfare for personnel of the Ministry of Labour and members of the Housewife Association.
