Mr. Somchai Maruksriwan, Director-General of the Department of Employment, assigned Mr. Mongkol Songkhram, the Department of Employment’s Deputy Director-General, to deliver the event report. Mr. Banlang Witsiri, Deputy Governor of Nakhon Ratchasima Province, delivered welcoming remarks. The event was honoured by executives of the Ministry of Labour, heads of provincial offices under the Ministry of Labour in Nakhon Ratchasima, the Director of Terminal 21 Korat Shopping Centre, executives of educational institutions, teachers, lecturers, and employers. The event was held at Terminal Hall, 4th Floor, Terminal 21 Korat Shopping Centre, Nakhon Ratchasima Province.

Mr. Santi stated that the Ministry of Labour places great importance on promoting employment and continuously creating job opportunities. In fiscal year 2026, the Ministry of Labour has set five key policy areas to ensure Thai workers have jobs, income, and life security. These focus on driving employment policies alongside workforce skills development (upskilling and reskilling) in line with economic and technological changes, and on promoting labour welfare and workplace safety. These are key directions for enhancing Thailand’s labour market competitiveness and preparing it to meet the challenges of the digital era.

Mr. Santi further said that the “Thais Must Have Jobs @ Korat” event serves as an essential mechanism for directly connecting job seekers with employers and establishments, helping reduce unemployment and labour shortages in the area. It also provides a valuable opportunity to strengthen essential occupational skills aligned with current and future labour market needs. As such, this event is not merely a job fair, but a “platform for opportunity creation” that enables the people of Nakhon Ratchasima to gain employment, earn income, and achieve greater life security.

Mr. Mongkol Songkhram, the Department of Employment’s Deputy Director-General, said that the “Thais Must Have Jobs @ Korat” event was organised by the Department of Employment, through the Nakhon Ratchasima Provincial Employment Office, in cooperation with Terminal 21 Korat Shopping Centre. The event provides job seekers with opportunities to meet employers and establishments directly, with more than 50 companies offering over 3,000 job vacancies. The event also features many engaging activities, such as demonstrations and hands-on practice in more than 48 freelance occupations, immersive career learning through Virtual Reality headsets, lectures on “Mindset Shift: Modern Learning Skills for Survival,” Upskilling/Reskilling, and “New-Age Careers: Creating Multiple Income Streams from Existing Skills.” There are exhibitions from government agencies, the private sector, and educational institutions; product booths from work-from-home groups, senior citizen groups, OTOP products, and franchise business showcases, as well as creative social activities, including musical performances by Khlong Phai Central Prison and a dance competition set to standard Thai country music. In addition, there are job opportunities and activities tailored for students, older persons, persons with disabilities, and part-time jobs, ensuring that Thais of all groups, ages, and lifestyles can access employment suited to their potential.

The Ministry of Labour therefore invites jobseekers, students, and members of the public who are looking for work, wishing to develop skills, or seeking ideas for supplementary occupations, to attend the “Thais Must Have Jobs @ Korat” event from 27–28 January 2026, between 10.00 a.m. and 4.30 p.m., at Terminal Hall, 4th Floor, Terminal 21 Korat Shopping Centre.
