Ministry of Labour Prepared Kick Off for 5S Activities to Campaign Reduced Garbage to Save the Environment

            On October 31, 2018, Assistant to the Permanent Secretary Mr. Somsak Apiwantanakul, presided over the meeting to discuss the 5S activities of the Office of the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Labour for the first time in 2018. The meeting took place at the Human Resource Management Division’s meeting room on the 10th floor of the Office of the Permanent Secretary. 

 

            The meeting discussed the kickoff event this November. The event will feature activities such as the awarding ceremony to the winners of the Ministry of Labour’s 5S activity, campaigns to use cloth bags, placement of the categorized waste bins within the Ministry of Labour, an exhibition organized by the Thailand Institute of Packaging and Recycling Management for Sustainable Environment (TIPMSE) and recycle market where participants can bring garbage or non-used item to separate and sell, donate or exchange for other items, as the Big Cleaning Day activity.
            The 5S activities will be implemented by all personnel in the Ministry of Labour, to have a conscious, positive attitude and discipline, capable of working in a clean, tidy and safe workplace. This can also improve the behaviour of personnel for better performance and service to the people.
