On August 9, 2018, H.E. Police General Adul Sangsingkeo, Minister of Labor, presided over the seminar on the development of labor force capacity in the Andaman tourism industry in the 4.0 era. Boat Lagoon, Muang District, Phuket, said that due to the government’s policy to drive the development of tourism industry, good income and health tourism, which is one of 10 target industries to drive the economy for the future and strengthen the competitiveness of the country. Especially the southern provinces of Andaman coast. The tourism income is the number one in the country, especially in Phuket, which generated the most revenue from tourism. And according to the development plan of the southern provinces of Andaman coast (Ranong, Phang Nga, Phuket, Krabi, and Trang) tourism construction worker and the fishing industry. Phuket is currently operating as a hub for marine tourism, pleasure cruises and sports. There are 38 docks, 5 jumbo docks, yachts and cruise ships. 1,500 ships per year. It is imperative that all sectors work together to develop their labor capacity to support the expansion of the industry.

This seminar is a great opportunity for all sectors to brainstorm, prepare for the development of skilled workforce in the tourism industry and service in the direction of development in the tourism industry to Thailand 4.0 and plan to solve the problem of shortage of personnel in tourism business and services with more tourists every year to lead to the development of skills to meet the needs in the area, and increase the competitiveness. The lack of skilled labor, knowledge and skills in both quantity and quality, supporting the expansion of the economy in the future.
