MOL Commences Seminar on “Labour Market Policies and Employment: The Future of Work in an Aging Society Context”

          On Wednesday, March 27, 2019, at 13.30 hours, Deputy Permanent Secretary of Labour Pol.Maj. Romayong Surakitbunharn chaired the seminar on labour research networks for 2019. The topic was “Labour Market Policies and Employment: The Future of Work in an Aging Society Context”, which took place at the Jompol P. Pibulsongkram Meeting Room, 5th Floor, Ministry of Labour.

 

 

          The seminar was organized to present a policy framework to address challenges that are caused by changes beyond expectations for the world of work. It covered how to build competitiveness and network of policymakers and workers in employment and labour policies, and facilitated the exchange of good practices on planning, development and implementation of policies on the future of jobs and characteristics both globally and in Thailand. Around 200 participants joined the event including representatives from government, the private sector, educational institutions, qualified academics, employers, employees and executives.
