On December 12, 2018, at 14.00 hours, Permanent Secretary of Labour Mr. Jarin Chakkaphark assigned Assistant to the Permanent Secretary Mr. Somsak Apiwantakul to co-chair the committee meeting on supervising worst forms of work in fisheries and the seafood industry (PSC) 8/2018, together with Mr. Giuseppe Busini, Deputy Head of the EU Delegation to Thailand. The meeting took place at the Pakorn Angsusingh Conference Room on the 10th floor, Department of
Skill Development.
The meeting was a meeting to report progress of the project’s activities in four objectives: 1. Strengthening the legal framework, policies and oversight. 2. Effective labour inspection and law enforcement 3. Upgrading industry standards, Good Labor Practice (GLP) and 4. Strengthening labour activities and access to support services.
