On July 5, 2019, at 10.00 hours, Permanent Secretary of Labour Mr. Suthi Sukosol welcomed Chairman of the National Fisheries Association of Thailand Mr. Mongkol Sukcharoenkana and the delegation from the association, who congratulated him on the appointment of Permanent Secretary of Labour. The parties then attended a meeting to exchange ideas with the National Fisheries Association of Thailand at Prasong Rananant Conference Room, 5th floor, Ministry of Labour. The meeting acknowledged comments and suggestions about the work in solving various labour issues in the fishing sector, including labour shortages in the fishing sector. The meeting also discussed the issue of work permit expirations on September 30, 2019, November 1, 2019, and March 31, 2019, and resolving the importation of foreign workers in fishing under the MOU.
