MOL Joins Commencement of POWERING DIGITAL THAILAND 2021

          On November 11, 2020, at 09.00 hours, Deputy Prime Minister General Prawit Wongsuwan presided over the POWERING DIGITAL THAILAND 2021. Labour Minister Mr. Suchart Chomklin, Minister of Education Mr. Natthaphon Thepsuwan, and Minister of Digital Economy and Society Mr. Putthiphong Punnakan, joined the said event organized by Huawei Technology (Thailand) Co., Ltd. from November 11-14, 2020, to present the latest technology in the digital transformation of the energy industry, at the Centara Grand & Bangkok Convention A2, 22nd floor (Central World).

          The event will allow attendees to exchange ideas with industry experts, explore new business opportunities with business leaders, and learn about the latest industry perspectives and trends, including ICT technology. It also allows participants to experience digital applications and platforms.

          General Prawit said that he is pleased to be the president of the opening ceremony of POWERING DIGITAL THAILAND 2021. He said that today, technology is the heart of the country’s development in all dimensions. In terms of society, economy, and security, Thailand has stepped into the development of the 4.0 era, which requires digital technology as a driving force. Thailand is the first country in ASEAN to develop 5G technology for commercial use, which now covers the Eastern Economic Corridor or EEC. Almost all digital technologies, especially 5G, Cloud, and AI systems, will be the key infrastructure that drives Thailand to become the region’s digital hub, driving changes in the future. Such changes will lead to the development of endless innovation. The government has established a digital development plan for the economy and society. It is a supporting tool in the country’s development. It will be a master plan to serve as a framework for implementing the government’s digital economy and society policies to develop modern technology under public and private cooperation. The development will be beneficial to business operations by facilitating people, and the development of government efficiency will result in stability, prosperity, and sustainability for Thailand in the long run.
