Content Description

On January 13, 2023, the Permanent Secretary of Labour, Mr. Boonchob Suttamanaswong, presided over a ceremony to give out stationery, educational equipment, sports equipment, toys, and snacks as gifts on the occasion of National Children’s Day 2023. He gave 500 sets to representatives of community leaders and children in the Din Daeng flat community. The Deputy Permanent Secretary of Labour and Acting Director-General of the Department of Skill Development, Ms. Bubpha Rueangsud, on behalf of the Ministry of Labour’s Housewives Association, together with the Ministry of Labour’s executives and members of the Housewives Association joined in giving out the goods to children in the Din Daeng flat community, at the foyer at the Ministry of Labour.
Mr. Boonchob said that it is well known that the second Saturday of January every year is designated as National Children’s Day by the government. This year, Prime Minister General Prayuth Chan-ocha gave the National Children’s Day 2023 the motto “Understanding responsibility, achieving discipline, and aspiring to good deeds” for all sectors of society to participate in child and youth development. Today’s children will grow up to be valuable human resources for the development of the country. Therefore, they must be developed to their fullest potential to become good future citizens. The Ministry of Labour recognizes the value and quality of life of children. Therefore, a gift-giving activity on Children’s Day was organized on this day under the slogan “Thai children love learning and are ready to work” to encourage children to learn in their fields of expertise and interest so that after graduation, they can step into the labour market with quality, skills, and knowledge, and be part of a quality workforce.
“On the occasion of this year’s National Children’s Day, I wish for all children who are valuable resources of the nation to keep practicing and developing in different activities that are beneficial to their skills and experience so that they can apply their knowledge to live happily, develop the nation and the country to prosper in the future,” concluded Mr. Boonchob.
