On December 23, 2020, at 12.20 hours, Labour Minister Mr. Suchart Chomklin assigned Deputy Permanent Secretary of Labour Mr. Phairoj Chotikasatian to give a live interview in the “Hone Kra-sae” program, broadcast on Thai TV Channel 3. The interview covered the Ministry of Labour’s measures to prevent and help people affected by the Covid-19 pandemic among foreign workers and company employees. It has requested the cooperation of employers and companies to prohibit foreign workers’ movement into or out of areas at risk of the spread of Covid-19 and to establish the Ministry of Labour’s Center for Covid-19 Situation Administration (MOL CCSA) on Monday, December 21, 2020. This center is under the National Labour Administration Center on the 5th floor of the Ministry of Labour’s building. The interview also discussed remedial measures regarding compensation benefits in the event of unemployment due to force majeure for insured persons. The occasion took place at the Thai Television Channel 3 station.
