MOL Joins Thai Women’s Day 2019 Under Theme “The Stream of Glory to Sustainable Development”

          Today (August 1, 2019) at 11.00 hours, Permanent Secretary of Labour Mr. Suthi Sukosol assigned the Ministry of Labour’s Inspector-General Mr. Todsaphon kritwongwiman to attend the Thai Women’s Day 2019 event at the Royal Jubilee Ballroom, Challenger Building, IMPACT Exhibition and Convention Center, Muang Thong Thani, Pak Kret, Nonthaburi Province. Her Majesty Queen Suthida Bajrasudhabimalalakshana presided over the opening ceremony of the 2019 Thai Women’s Day.
 
 
          The Ministry of Social Development and Human Security by the Department of Women’s Affairs and Family Development, together with the National Women’s Council under the royal patronage, established the Thai Women’s Day 2019 under the concept “The Stream of Glory to Sustainable Development.” The theme aims to honor the auspicious occasion of His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn’s 67th birthday on July 28, 2019, Her Majesty Queen Sirikit, the Queen Mother’s 87th birthday on August 12, 2019, and Her Majesty Queen Suthida Bajrasudhabimalalakshana’s 41st birthday on June 3, 2019. It also aims to allow Thai women to realize the grace of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit, who designated August 1, of every year as “Thai Women’s Day”, and to realize the importance of their roles and values following the 4 royal principles, including supporting the values in society, accepting roles, having abilities and values of Thai women. There were approximately 1,500 participants in the event.
