On August 16, 2021, at 08.30 hours, Permanent Secretary of Labour Mr. Suthi Sukosol chaired the training course opening on “Preparing Personnel Before Taking on Position of Provincial Head.” The occasion occurred online at the Human Resources Management Division’s meeting room, 10th floor, Ministry of Labour. He said that this course is important, as Provincial Labour Offices is a unit under the Ministry of Labour’s Office of the Permanent Secretary in provincial regions. It performs duties as a representative in studying, analyzing, preparing, and implementing the strategic plan on labour development in provincial areas and provincial groups. The course’s objective is to help build knowledge, competence, and ability to perform tasks consistent with their responsibilities and have desirable characteristics targeted for those who serve as heads of government agencies at the provincial level. Such positions are key in the Ministry of Labour’s mission to drive the strategy and develop the organization to achieve concrete success.
On this occasion, he thanked the relevant staff for their cooperation in the development and for recognizing the importance of civil servants’ systematic and continuous development at all levels. He asked that everyone who attended the training be aware and apply the knowledge gained from the speakers into practice to become a prepared leader for all situations. The training will support participants in taking on larger responsibilities, strengthen relationships, and unite them to work with each other by exchanging knowledge, ideas, and experiences. He said that he sincerely hopes that everyone will use the knowledge and experience gained from the training to benefit their performance in their roles.
