On March 29, 2021, at 10.00 hours, Labour Minister Mr. Suchart Chomklin assigned the Labour Minister’s Secretariat Mr. Suthep Chitayavong to receive a letter from the Chairman of the Bangkok Hawker Community, Ms. Yada Pornpetcharumpa, at the Labour Relations Committee meeting room, 1st floor, Department of Labour Protection and Welfare. The representative requested help from the Ministry of Labour to be a central agency for coordinating assistance to discuss informal workers’ demands from the Bangkok Hawker Group registered at the Ministry of Labour. It aims to be a database to propose solutions to the Bangkok Administration, allowing impacted hawker stalls to return to their careers and trade in Bangkok in the early stages.
Mr. Suthep said that in this matter, the Ministry of Labour would host a meeting to discuss and coordinate with the Bangkok Administration to solve such problems as quickly as possible.
