MOL Signs MOU on “Anti-Drug Abuse Industrial Estate”

            Today (April 3, 2019) at 10.00 hours, Permanent Secretary of Labour, Mr. Jarin Chakkaphark assigned Deputy Permanent Secretary of Labour Mr. Suradej Waleeittikul to present the policy to drive the work of the Ministry of Labour and signed a Memorandum of Cooperation under the “Anti-Drug Abuse Industrial Estate” project at Amber 2-3 Meeting Room, Impact Muang Thong Thani, Nonthaburi. Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Justice H.E. Air Chief Marshal Prajin Juntong as presided over the signing ceremony whereby the agreement integrates cooperation from 10 agencies, namely the Office of the Narcotics Control Board, the Industrial Estate Authority of Thailand, the Office of the Permanent Secretary of Labour, the Department of Labour Protection and Welfare, the Office of the Permanent Secretary of Interior, the Department of Provincial Administration, the Office of the Permanent Secretary of Public Health, Department of Medical Services, Department of Industrial Works and the Office of the National Police. The agreement aims to campaign and create awareness to reducing the need for drugs in industrial estates following government policies. It also seeks to promote establishments in all industrial estates throughout the country, to take part in surveillance and prevention of drug problems, and network cooperation between government agencies and the private sector to prevent and resolve drug problems consistently.
