Content Description

On January 14, 2023, the Permanent Secretary of Labour, Mr. Boonchob Suttamanaswong, joined the National Children’s Day 2023 event. The Prime Minister and Minister of Defence, General Prayuth Chan-ocha, presided over the National Children’s Day 2023 opening ceremony at the Ministry of Education, Dusit Area, Bangkok.
For National Children’s Day this year, the Prime Minister and Minister of Defence General Prayuth Chan-ocha gave the motto “Understanding responsibility, achieving discipline, and aspiring to good deeds.” He recognizes children and young people as valuable human resources and expresses the hope of the children leading the country into the future. All children must know their educational roles and responsibilities to increase their skills, knowledge, and abilities, always seeking different experiences that fit their abilities and interests. It encourages every child to have discipline, be responsible, have respect, listen to the teachings of parents and teachers, follow social rules, be generous and help society at every opportunity.
On this occasion, the Permanent Secretary of Labour, Mr. Boonchob Suttamanaswong, and the Ministry of Labour’s executives gave out stationery, educational equipment, sports equipment, toys, and snacks as gifts, to children joining the activities in the National Children’s Day 2023 event at booths organized by agencies under the Ministry of Labour around the Minister of Education. For this year, the Ministry of Labour’s booth hosted many activities and prizes such as playing games, spinning the wheel, throwing rings, lucky draw, quizzes, and giving away many prizes, which caught the attention of many children who joined the fun.
“The Ministry of Labour recognizes children’s value and quality of life. Therefore, it organized Children’s Day activities under the slogan “Thai children love learning and are ready to work” to encourage children to learn in their fields of expertise and interest so that after graduation, they can step into the labour market with quality, skills, and knowledge, and be part of a quality workforce. On the occasion of this year’s National Children’s Day, I wish for all children who are valuable resources to the nation to keep practicing and developing in different activities that are beneficial to their skills and experience so that they can apply their knowledge to live happily, develop the nation and the country to prosper in the future,” concluded Mr. Boonchob.
