Office of Labour Affairs in Hong Kong as the center of non-formal and informal education for special groups of people in Hong Kong, held a meeting of teachers at Lok Sin Tong Primary School to discuss about teaching preparation for semester one of 2012. The study is held every Sunday from June 3-September 30, 2012.
 
A the meeting, Mrs. Pensri Iamopasm Consul (Labour Affairs) of the Office of Labour Affairs in Hong Kong, in her capacity as chief of the center, and Mrs. Palida Kakam, Vice Consul (Labour Affairs) in her capacity as deputy chief of the center, discussed with the teachers about mark-recording methods during the semester, and quality of lives promotion activity. There are two types of learning during the semester: group tutorial and self studying.
 
For the first semester, orientation and enrollment were scheduled on Sunday 27 May, 2012 at Lok Sin Tong Primary School. A total of 30 students would take part in the study in this semester at elementary, secondary, and high school levels.
 
The number of student taking part in the study has decreased as most Thai workers in Hong Kong already have basic qualifications from Thailand. The center, therefore, discussed possibility of holding continuing course (short-term course) and basic education course such as Thai massage and computer, in parallel to improve skills of Thai workers in Hong Kong.
