Office of Labour Affairs in Japan visited Thai trainees at IM Japan in Kansai and Tokai.

During 19-21 March 2013, Mr. Suchat Sangurai, Labour Advisor and Mrs. Malee Wada, Overseas Employment Promotion Coordinator went to visit Thai workers at IM Japan in Osaka, Aichi province and Mie province located 550 Km. western away from Tokyo. This visit aims to promote and expand Thai trainee market in Japan, visit and see the training programes in order to give them an advice and boost their morale. On this occasion, the Advisor and overseas employment promotion coordinator also met with Director of IM Japan in Kansai and Tokai and discussed over Thai trainee labour market expansion in those region.
Office of Labour Affairs met the employers at 4 workplaces called on 19 trainees and discussed with director of IM japan in Kansai and Tokai. Gist as follows;
  1. On 19 March 2013
1.1   Yasuda Kogyo Co.,Ltd. the business on producing spare parts and floor-drain The company has expanded its business in Thailand by establishing the plants at Amamta City Industrial Estate in Rayong. According to its manufacturing plan set in November 2013, the industrial estate therefore recruited 4 Thai workers to be trained as the foreman to teach the workers in the factory in Thailand. It also plans to recruit 2 more Thai workers in May 2013.
Labour Counsellor expressed thankfulness to the company for accepting Thai trainees. The employer informed that those trainees has been paying good attention and got no problem of living condition, as well as are enable to learn Japanese language quite fast. Thai trainees habitually keep the accommodation cleaned. The company asked the trainees to learn skills and go back to help the country. In this regard, the factory in Thailand has the same production line as Japan’s.

 

 

1.1   Visiting IM Japan, regional branch in Kansai in the evening to meet and discuss with branch manager over the guideline on raising quota of Thai trainees and problem-solving for Thai trainees. There are 13 officers coordinating and assisting Thai trainees at Kansai branch and 74 Thai trainees under supervision of Kansai branch in total working at 18 workplaces.
2.      On 20 March 2013
2.1   Ishida Taisei Co.,Ltd located in Nagoya, Aichi running printing business mostly covering Toyota’s user manual in different language for users nationwide. There are 11 factories in Japan and many branches in overseas including in Thailand at Bangkok, Sumrong, and Ayudhya. This company already accepted 5 batches of trainees totally 8 persons, 2 of them are presently training in Japan. The company said it was definitely satisfied with those 2 trainees working at its company since they learnt fast and developed their Japanese language well, also created best relationship with Japanese colleague. 
Labour Advisor expressed thankfulness to the company for giving a chance to Thai trainees. He firmly insisted to those 2 trainees to pay attention and practice Japanese language throughout 3 years of training period, also spend money thoughtfully and appropriately in order to protect the image of the nation.
Trainees said that they had good living condition and were able to control printing machine. The manager and officers of the company have taken a good care of them. During the holidays, they often took them to take a trip.
