Office of Labour Affairs in Malaysia warns about forged work permit in Malaysia

Office of Labour Affairs in Malaysia was informed that Thai worker Nongkai Province native, working in Johor, Malaysia was arrested at Bukit Kayu Hitam in front of Sadao Border in Songkla Province while he was traveling back to Thailand on charge of obtaining forged work permit.
Office of Labour Affairs in Malaysia has therefore collaborated with International Labour Affairs, Immigration Bureau in  Putrajaya in examining his work permit and other 3 workers It appeared that their work permit stamped in their passport has been forged. 
                  
According to this case, the arrested Thai worker has committed wrongful act on many charges which are forgery and overstay in Malaysia and working without work permit but his friends have not yet been arrested. They confirm that the employer authorized agent to apply work permit and the employer would deduct 4,000 MYR (40,000 baht) for expenses. They believe that such work permits were valid. Currently, the employers have been trying to contact with the agent but 
 
                After Labour Affairs has publicly informed Thai workers  ,
3 massagers, working at one of the hotels located at Jalan Abdullah, 84000 Muar, Johor, then contacted the Office to examine their work permit since their employer took 8 months for issuing work permit. Office of Labour Affairs consequently contacted Foreign Workers Affairs, Immigration Bureau and primarily found found that their name lists were not found in work permit authorizing system. 
                    In order to prevent mentioned problems, Office of Labour Affairs would like to inform Thai workers to be aware of forged work permit and correct the information before traveling, particularly, in the case that the employer authorized agent to apply work permit. The workers shall obtain Calling Visa (name is identified) from Immigration Bureau in Malaysia and have to go through medical screening at affiliated clinic of Fomema before applying work permit. Any workers obtaining work permit can check the (1) employer’s name and workplace identified in the work permit shall be identical 2) a fee shall be identified as Gratis (waive) 3) Thai workers shall go through medical screen at clinic in Malaysia.
