The Permanent Secretary of Labour commenced a training program following the human resource development project to improve work efficiency in 2020. The project aims to sustainably drive the Ministry of Labour’s policies towards success.
Today (August 28, 2020) at 13.30 hours, Permanent Secretary of Labour, Mr. Suthi Sukosol, chaired the human resource development program’s opening ceremony to improve work efficiency for 2020. The event took place at the Prasong Rananant meeting room, 5th floor, Ministry of Labour. Mr. Suthi said,” The International Cooperation Bureau is the main international agency to the Ministry of Labour, under policies on cooperation and international agreement in the field of labour, international negotiations benefit tracking to assist workers who go to work, including the expansion of the Thai labour market abroad. These roles have many important aspects, such as making Thailand a country that can maintain its dignity as a state. Thailand has been recognized by various countries and maintains strong international relations, which will benefit the economy, trade, investment, and Thai workers who go to work abroad.”
“The Office of International Cooperation’s missions and duties relate to many agencies operating in foreign countries. Therefore, it is necessary to contact, coordinate, and seek cooperation from Departments, the Social Security Office and external agencies, international organizations, and civil society sectors. Today is a good opportunity for the Office of International Cooperation to organize training following the human potential development project to increase the workforce’s efficiency for 2020. All departments under the Ministry of Labour have sent foreign relations personnel to join the training, including newly appointed advisors (on labour) traveling abroad. This will result in better cooperation between agencies under the Ministry of Labour, in addition to academic knowledge from the speakers.”
“The training today had interesting and useful topics to the participants, such as teamwork for success, diplomatic procedures during Covid-19, national strategies, organizational development theories, and promoting English language skills. This will develop personnel under the Ministry of Labour to have the knowledge and understanding of their work. It is expected that this training will encourage all participants to have higher potential, which will be an important factor for driving policies to lead the Ministry of Labour towards the goals that have been set for sustainability,” concluded Mr. Suthi.
