Permanent Secretary of Labour Leads MOL Team to Drive the Zero Tolerance & Clean Thailand Project

          On December 15, 2022, the Permanent Secretary of Labour, Mr. Boonchob Suttamanaswong, presided over the Ministry of Labour’s opening ceremony, jointly driving the Zero Tolerance & Clean Thailand project. The Ministry of Labour’s senior executives, government officials, and officials also joined the occasion at the meeting room on the 5th floor Ministry of Labour.
          Mr. Boonchob said that the government has important development goals to change the government based on the principle of “the government of the people for the people and the common good.” It aims to Adjust the work culture to focus on achievements, common interests, modernization, and readiness to adapt to keep up with the changing world. It also focuses on openness and interconnectedness and provides opportunities for all sectors to participate to meet the needs of the people conveniently, quickly, and transparently. To do so, all sectors in society must jointly instill honesty and frugality values and create a sense of refusal not to tolerate corruption or misconduct. The Ministry of Labour, as a government agency that must drive such goals to achieve tangible results, must lead using morality and by strengthening ethics and discipline as well as nurturing personnel to be aware of their duties to support the changing world and corruption. It must also be up-to-date with technology and innovation to support fraud prevention to provide services to the people based on morality and ethics, honesty, and accuracy according to the prescribed regulations. It must lead by adhering to the principles of good governance, including applying the philosophy of sufficiency economy as a guideline for correct operations and to truly benefit the people.
          Mr. Boonchob continued that the Ministry of Labour also emphasizes the creation of corporate culture, raising awareness, and creating good attitudes and values to promote government officials to have a conscience to refuse all kinds of gifts and favours before, during, and after performing duties that will result in corruption and misconduct. This training will bring awareness to the Ministry of Labour’s personnel and form guards against all forms of corruption. It can open a framework view to solve fraud issues effectively. As a result, the Ministry of Labour will have an image of operating with integrity and transparency, ready to jointly drive Zero Tolerance & Clean Thailand following the objectives.
          The Ministry of Labour’s training program to drive Zero Tolerance & Clean Thailand was organized to focus on civil servants from all departments under the Ministry of Labour. It aims to give awareness of problems and channels that may cause corruption and misconduct in operations, to raise awareness of morality, and ethics, work with transparency and verifiability and have the concept of preventing corruption from leading to efficient government operations, to truly benefit the people The training is divided into two days. The first day is a lecture to educate, and the second is a study visit and practice to learn the philosophy of sufficiency economy at the Training Center of the Volunteer Spirit School 904. The event was honored by the Ministry of Labour’s Internal Auditor, Ms. Ratchanee Srichanachaichok, and Expert Anti-Corruption Officer from the Office of the National Anti-Corruption Commission (NACC), Mr. Tinnaphop Pattana, who was also a guest speaker at this training.
