“Pol.Gen. Adul” Delighted to Meet Young Workers at The Mall Korat who Work During School Break

           The Labour Minister met with young workers at The Mall Korat and was delighted that youths were interested in applying for part-time work to earn an income during school holidays under the “Pracharat Ruam Palang – Creating Young Workers” program. The program aims to prepare the young workers to join the workforce as quality workers, with experience and adding professional value for national development. 

 

          On March 22, 2019, Labour Minister, H.E. Police General Adul Sangsingkeo visited Nakhon Ratchasima to meet with students under the “Pracharat Ruam Palang – Creating Young Workers” at The Mall, Nakhon Ratchasima. Permanent Secretary of Labour, Mr. Jarin Chakkaphark and the ministry’s senior executives also joined the event.
          The Labour Minister said that today, he visited students in the “Pracharat Ruam Palang – Creating Young Workers” program. From discussions, he found that youths who applied to the project at The Mall Nakhon Ratchasima had good working intentions and were happy to work and earn extra money, helping families and collect experience before stepping into the real labour market. The wage rate as required by law is no less than 40 Baht per hour.
          The Mall Nakhon Ratchasima employs 40 young workers, mostly working in the food court on Saturday and Sunday, and public holidays totaling 15 people. There are also 25 people in the water park and the remainder in different restaurants including 10 people in KPC, 25 people in Pizza Hut, 7 people in Mr. Donut, 33 people in The Pizza Company, 10 people in Swensens and 10 people in McDonalds.
Nakhon Ratchasima province has hired students 1,316 working students in 37 establishments. Another 23 establishments have announced 400 vacancies. Students who participate in the program will gain professional skills development that is consistent with the needs of the country and have a basis for stepping into a quality workforce to increase national productivity.
