On November 17, 2018, at the Ban Phueng Subdistrict Administrative Office, Mueang, Nakhon Phanom, Labour Minister H.E. Police General Adul Sangsingkeo presided over the opening of the Ban Phueng Center for Quality of Life Development for the Elderly, Children and Disabled building. The center will be a place to host activities and promote life skills, boosting knowledge and self-development of people in the community. Heads of government and people in the area welcomed participants and joined the ceremony.
Ban Phueng promotes welfare among the elderly, children and disabled including professional support for the disabled to seek value in themselves. A group formed and established a school for the elderly, upholding the “superb” principle in operations to encourage the elderly to relax, see the value in their lives, join activities, exchange experiences and share them with children, as well as creating jobs and earning income for the community. There is an active group of children and youths who are involved in community and volunteer activities through the Ban Phueng Youth Council, to promote careers for people with disabilities to earn extra income and living, be self-sufficient and live with pride in society. Thus the Ban Phueng Center for Quality of Life Development for the Elderly, Children and Disabled building was established by the Ban Phueng Subdistrict Administrative Office with a total budget of 2,500,000 Baht to increasingly promote the three groups in having a place to do the activities, exercise and show wisdom, potential and benefit to the community and society. The center also promotes every group to have a career, income and live in a happier society and become a place for the people of Ban Phueng and government in the future.
