The Labour Minister launched the proactive health promotion program for the workplace to encourage employees insured in the social security system to access health checkups for better physical and emotional health, as well as stability in life.
Labour Minister H.E. Police General Adul Sangsingkeo presided over the opening ceremony of the proactive health promotion program for the workplace at Amata City Industrial Estate, Chonburi, together with Permanent Secretary of Labour Mr. Jarin Chakkaphark and the ministry’s executives. The Labour Minister said that the ministry was aware of the importance of good health for workers in the workplace, whereby supporting health promotion projects within companies to promote better health. The proactive health promotion activities launched today aimed to ensure that insurers are protected, have stability at work, access to the state’s services and reduce inequality to leads to stability and sustainability in life.
The Labour Minister said that the activities today aimed to propel the health promotion services policy with the development of activities to manage chronic diseases; it encouraged insurers to get health checks and raise awareness about health. The activities were organized with cooperation from Exedy Friction Material Co. Ltd and Vibharam Hospital, Amata Nakorn, providing health insurance services for insurers In Amata City Industrial Estate, Chonburi.
The event had health check-up services for insurers provided by Chulalongkorn Hospital, the Department of Medical Services, the Department of Health and the Department of Disease Control, such as oral health, vision and hearing examinations, lab tests, chest x-rays and cervical cancer tests with a specialized medical team ready to give advice to service users. In addition, there was an exhibition on benefits concerning physical and mental health from government and private agencies.
