Prime Minister opens Labor Day to reiterate sincere government access to people at all levels

             Today (May 1, 2018) Gen. Prayut Chan-ocha, Prime Minister presided over the opening ceremony of the National Labor Day in 2018 at the City Hall, Bangkok City Hall. H.E. Police General Adul Sengsengkaew, Minister of Labor and Mr. Jarin Chakkaphark, Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Labor, Top executives, government officials and laborers welcomed.

 

 

            The Prime Minister said, “Today I am pleased to meet with the workers. The government is committed, serious, and sincere in addressing issues at all levels. All workers are important to the development of the nation. Everyone is equal. In particular, what the government expects today to make it possible for the descendants, their organizations, and the nation to live sustainably. There is no conflict in society and among the fraternity of the fraternity. The government is constantly developing the country according to the Sufficiency Economy Philosophy. Working in parallel, the three sectors are government, entrepreneurs, and labor. The government will encourage Thai people to work, secure work, provide social protection. Entrepreneurs must help produce skilled workers. At the same time, workers must develop their own craft to get a higher wage. The Government has also given priority to the Thai Workforce Development Master Plan for five years, in line with the National Economic and Social Development Plan, No. 12, the 20-year national strategy, and the reform of the country. The reform needs to be done at the same time, such as quality of life, law, social protection, etc.” It also mentions the drive to invest in the Special Economic Zone (EEC) of the Government, which will help boost investment and employment, especially Thai labor, so that Thais can have more jobs.
           H.E. Police General Adul Sangsingkeo said that the Labor Day demand was around 11 years ago.
