The Labour Minister welcomed the President of the Private Hospital Association and committee to acknowledge labour policies and recommendations on developing medical services for insured persons, towards a more efficient service system.
On October 7, 2020, Labour Minister Mr. Suchart Chomklin welcomed the President of the Private Hospital Association MD Prof. Dr. Chalerm Harnpanit and committee, in a meeting to congratulate the Labour Minister on appointment to his position. The visiting committee also acknowledged labour policies and recommendations from the Labour Minister to guide medical services and coordination between the public and private sectors. The efforts aim to achieve national policies and strategies effectively. The meeting took place at the Chatumongkol Room, 6th floor, Ministry of Labour. Permanent Secretary of Labour Mr. Suthi Sukosol also joined the occasion to welcome the committee.
Mr. Suchart said that in consultation with the President of the Private Hospital Association, the association made a proposal to participate in recommending options on the organization of the medical service system of the Social Security Office, and may serve as a member of the medical board on dialysis issues of insured persons who have to pay in advance, or having the hospital set up with the Social Security Office. In this regard, the hospital must set up a reimbursement mechanism with the Social Security Office without the insured person has to pay in advance. The Social Security Office should promote the rights for intravenous dialysis that is better than the National Health Security Office (NHSO) that provides abdominal cleansing. In addition, the Labour Minister wants hospitals to provide premium services to insured persons, such as having a waiting room while waiting to see a doctor.
