Ratchaburi Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand announces new minimum wage rates effective April 1

          Mrs.Petcharat Sinauy , Deputy Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Labor as a spokesperson for the Ministry of Labor revealed that on March 19, the “Gazette” website published the announcement. Minimum wage (No. 9) with the payroll committee held a study meeting and considered facts about the wage rate received by the employee. The other facts as prescribed by the law on 17 Jan 2018, and agreed to set minimum rates to apply to all employers and employees. By virtue of Section 79 (3) and Section 88 of the Labor Protection Act BE 1998, as amended by the Labor Protection Act (No. 3) BE 2008, from now on.

1. The Notification of the Wage Commission on Minimum Wage (No. 8), dated 31 October 2016, shall be repealed.

2. The minimum wage shall be set at three hundred and thirty baht in Chonburi, Phuket and Rayong.

3. The minimum wage shall be three hundred and twenty five baht in Bangkok Chachoengsao, Nakhon Pathom, Nonthaburi, Pathum Thani, Samut Prakan and Samut Sakhon.

4. The minimum wage shall be three hundred and twenty baht per day in the provinces of Krabi, Khon Kaen, Chiang Mai, Trat, Nakhon Ratchasima, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya, Phang Nga, Lopburi, Songkhla, Saraburi, Suphan Buri, Surat Thani, Nong Khai and Ubon Ratchathani.

5. The minimum wage shall be set at three hundred and eighteen baht in the provinces of Kalasin, Chanthaburi, Nakhon Nayok, Prachin Buri, Mukdahan, Sakon Nakhon and Samut Songkhram.

6. The minimum wage shall be three hundred and fifteen baht in Chai Nat, Nakhon Phanom, Nakhon Sawan, Nan, Bueng Kan, Buriram, Prachuap Khiri Khan, Phayao, Phatthalung, Phitsanulok, Phetchaburi, Phetchabun, Yasothon, Roi Et, Sakaew, Surin, Angthong, Uttaradit and Uttaradit.

7. The minimum wage is three hundred and ten baht in Chumphon, Chumphon, Chiang Rai, Trang, Nakhon Sawan, Phichit, Phrae, Maha Sarakham, Maehongson, Ranong, Ratchaburi, Lampang, Lamphun, Si Sa Ket, Sing Buri, Sukhothai, Nong Bua Lamphu, Amnat Charoen and Uthaithani.

8. The minimum wage shall be set at three hundred baht per day in Narathiwat, Pattani and Yala.

9. For the benefit of Articles 2 through 8, the word “day” means the normal working time of an employee, which shall not exceed the following working hours. Employers are less likely to work less than normal working hours.

          (1) seven hours for work that may be harmful to the health and safety of employees under Ministerial Regulations No. 2 (1998) issued under the Labor Protection Act 1998.

          (2) eight hours for any other work not under (1)
