Singaporean Labour Office Welcomes Ministry of Labour Inspector (Mr. Thanich Numnoi) and Committee

                    On the 18th May 2015, the Labour Office in Singapore welcomed the Ministry of Labour’s Inspector Mr. Thanich Numnoi and officials from the Department of Employment, the Department of Labour Protection and Welfare and the Social Security Office on the occasion of a supervisory inspection to the Labour Office in Singapore.

                    Minister Counsellor (on labour) Mr. Tonnaporn Sititemkul briefed labour situations in Singapore, including processes for jobseekers, work permit processes by the Singaporean Ministry of Labour, worker welfare and operational obstacles faced by the Singaporean Labour Office. The visiting committee paid a courtesy call to the Ambassador of Thailand to Singapore Mr. Bunnasarn Bunnag and consulted on issues related to Thai workers.

                    The visiting committee of officials then proceeded to meet Thai workers at the Scal Soon Lee apartments, where over 100 Thai workers were residing; most of which worked with KPW Pte Ltd. The committee gave a lecture to the Thai workers on many topics related to working abroad, including motivating the workers to take back their knowledge to develop Thailand too.
