Taipei Labour Office participates in 5th Singing Contest

           Mrs. Ratiwan Sunthra, Minister Counsellor (Labour Affairs) and Ms. Pimpaporn Thitayana, Counsellor (Labour Affairs) on August 19, 2012 participated in the 5th Oversea Workers Singing Contest organised by New Taipei City Workers Division at the New Taipei City Hall.

          The contest was divided into three categories including singing in the native language of the foreign labourers, singing in Hok Kian language and the dual singing (by employers and their hired  foreign workers). On the part of Thai workers, six of them joined in the contest by singing in Thai language while another one sang in Hok Kian language.

The winner in singing native language received a trophy and cash amounting 15,000 Taiwanese dollars while the first runner-up obtained a trophy and cash amounting 10,000 Taiwanese dollars, the second runner-up got a trophy and 8,000 Taiwanese dollars in cash and the third runner-up received a trophy and cash amounting 5,000 Taiwanese dollars.

 

Two special prizes were given away for winners singing the native language songs while in dual singing, the winners received trophy and cash amounting 15,000 Taiwanese dollars.

 

Every participant in the singing contest received prizes. The organiser also gave away presents to participants.
