Thai Stanley Electric Commended as Outstanding Organization

            On 15 September 2017 at 15.00 hours, Labour Minister General Sirichai Distakul, Permanent Secretary of Labour M.L. Puntrik Smiti and the ministry’s executive committee visited the Safety Dojo and observed the production process of Lamp-7 at Thai Stanley Electric PCL in Pathum Thani. He commended the company for seeing the importance of workforce management and said that the company was a model on employee welfare, occupational safety and health, labour protection, professional development, employee relations and operational standards. The company was recently awarded the Thailand Labour Management Excellence Award 2017 by Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri, reflecting the company’s efforts for their workers and social responsibility.

                 Apart from complying with legislation on staff welfare, the company has supplementary benefits for its employees, which promotes motivation and a good working culture. The Labour Minister explained the ILO’s importance on workplace safety as many organizations are yet to confirm to safety standards meaning that the US and EU can ban trade from such organizations or countries. He added that companies in the past have done well to meet the standards and that they would be models to other businesses.
