On September 5, 2018, at 6:00 pm, H.E. Police General Adul Sangsingkeo, Minister of Labour, presided over the 12th ASEAN Workers Skill Awards Ceremony at Sapphire Room 204-205, IMPACT Building, IMPACT Exhibition and Convention Center, Muang Thong Thani, Pakkred, Nonthaburi, with Mr. Jarin Chakkaphark, Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Labour, together with senior executives, Ministry of Labour joined the ceremony. Minister of Labour said today the Ministry of Labour held a ceremony to award prizes and awards to the youth who participated in the competition and gave 150,000 baht for gold medal, 75,000 baht for silver medal, 40,000 baht for bronze medals, 20,000 baht for craftsmanship medal, and 10,000 baht for consolation prize.
In this competition, Thai youth can win 16 gold medals from 13 branches: food and beverage, cooking, internet, Welding, mechanical engineering, computer science, automotive paint, refrigeration technology, mechanical maintenance (team), branch Theme cellular (team), the field of automotive technology, industrial automation branch (the team), and the field of masonry. 4 silver medals from wood, furniture, beauty, graphic design, and hair styling. 3 bronze medals from the wooden angular, cooling technology and cooking.
In addition, it also received 13 medals of the best craftsmanship in networking, networking, information technology, graphic design, fashion technology (2 medals), automotive technology, electrical systems in the building, tiling, brickwork, woodworking furniture, hair styling, food and beverage, and beauty and the Best of Nation Award was given to Ms. Chatwarin Klongnoi, a contestant in the food and beverage sector, which was awarded to the best performers of each country, with a total of 10 awards.
Gen. Adul said that the results of this competition reflected the importance of the government in the development of skills to be internationally accepted in both the regional and international levels, in line with the 20-year strategy in three areas: Competitiveness, Development and empower human resources, and create opportunities and equality. Including the policy of Thailand 4.0.
The youth who won this match will be given the opportunity to be selected as the representative of the country to participate in the 45th International Skilled Crafts Competition to be held in Can, Russia during 22 – 27 August 2019.
