On August 22, 2018, at 09.30, H.E. Police General Adul Sangsingkeo, Minister of Labor, presided over the 12th ASEAN Handicraft Conference, at the Field Marshal’s Office, Pibulsongkram, 5th floor, Ministry of Labor. The ASEAN Handicraft Competition is an agreement of the ASEAN Member Countries. The ASEAN Socio-Cultural Community Blueprint is intended to be a part of the ASEAN Human Development Agenda (AHRP) under the ASEAN Socio-Cultural Community Blueprint. Encourage youth and labor force in ASEAN to be active and interested to improve their skills to keep up with technology. Of the international standard, which resulted in those youngsters have become the skilled workers in the labor market to enhance the manufacturing and services in the future.
For the 12th ASEAN Handicraft Competition, “WorldSkills ASEAN Bangkok 2018” will be held between August 31, 2018 – September 2, 2018 at Challenger 1-2, Impact Muang Thong Thani, Nonthaburi. HRH Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn presided over the opening ceremony on August 30 at 17.15 and the closing ceremony on September 4 was attended by 335 participants from 10 ASEAN member countries from Brunei, Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, Indonesia, Singapore, Philippines, Vietnam and Thailand in 6 groups of occupations as follows: (1) Industrial Technology (2) Industrial Technology (3) Fashion and creative industries (4) Transportation and logistics (5) Construction and building (6) Personal and social services (24) And 2 demonstration branches, totaling 26 branches, based on the 11th ASEAN Competitions held in Malaysia and the 44th International Labor Competition in the United Arab Emirates. Thailand will send 52 youngsters to compete in all career fields and the youth who won this match. They will be selected to represent the country in the 45th International Skins Competition held in Kazan, Russia (WorldSkills Kazan 2019) between 22-27 August 2019.
The Ministry of Labor said. Experience and results will reflect the competition, school, and business sectors, as well as the results of their education and training systems. In addition, the competition provides an opportunity for young people to experience and experience a career that requires skill. We encourage all Thai people to send their hearts and help promote Thai youth to win the honor of Thailand and be a good host to welcome visitors.
