On July 4, 2018, at 13.30, H.E. Police General Adul Sangsingkeo, Minister of Labor, welcomed Dr. Yongyuth Chalamwong, Director of Research on Labor Development, Thailand Development Research Institute (TDRI) on the occasion of the meeting to discuss the issue of the program on empowerment of low income people registered state benefits. “To build a career, increase income and stability in life” Mr. Jarin Chakkaphark, Permanent Secretary of Ministry of Labor, and Senior Executives, Ministry of Labor joined the meeting at the 6th Floor, Ministry of Labor.
For low income earners who have registered for state welfare “To build a career, increase income and stability in life” is a project that develops career potential for people in areas with less than 30,000 baht per year, which is 422,334 people to be skilled, able to work, earn extra income in the absence of primary care. In total, 70,000 elderly people attend training courses in order to bring their knowledge to work, generate enough income to spend on a daily basis. The training can be customized according to the needs of the people. It helps people who are non-monetary earners, but is trying to help them make a living or start earning a better income by providing them with a career that is not complicated, according to the needs of the area or community including funding sources and marketing support to encourage the trainees. There are more than 58 courses available, all of which are professionally conducive to sustainable income generation.
Vocational training for low income people will be consistent with the needs of the market in each area will be different. The training of community technicians is essential in all areas.
