Vice Minister of Labour pays a visit to Malaysia

During 19-21 September 2010, the Office of Labour Affairs in Malaysia paid a courtesy call to Vice Minister of Labour (Mr. Yuph Nana), Director of Thai Overseas Employment Administration (Mr. Suthi Sukosol), and 5 officials from Department of Employment, who make an official visit to Malaysia. Their core missions are:
 

During 19-21 September 2010, the Office of Labour Affairs in Malaysia paid a courtesy call to Vice Minister of Labour (Mr. Yuph Nana), Director of Thai Overseas Employment Administration (Mr. Suthi Sukosol), and 5 officials from Department of Employment, who make an official visit to Malaysia. Their core missions are:
 

 

                        

1)    To monitor the results of the operation under Thai Khem Khang project, which aims to support Thai Muslim people from Southern Thai Provinces to travel to work overseas. The team paid a visit to workplaces and met with 30 Thai people who traveled to work in Malaysia under the project at Pertanian Pertiwi and PK Agro companies, which produced and exported Halal delicatessen. The companies were located in Seremban, Negeri Sembilan. They joined Thai Khem Khang project as they agreed to recruit 80 Thai labours to work for them. Some of the labours already worked at the companies. The rest were under application process and waiting for work permit. In addition, the companies further notified that the companies would increase the overseas employment quota of 100 positions. The team had asked them to consider hiring Thai workers and the companies agreed so.
2)     To meet and host a dinner party for H.E. Abdulmalek Bouheddou, Algerian Ambassador to Kuala Lumpur and Dr. Toufilk Koudri, Deputy Head of Mission, to express thanks to the Algerian Embassy in facilitating the issue of the visa of the officials of the MOL on their visit to Algeria as well as of Thai people who travel to work in Algeria.  
3)    To visit workers of the Thai massage therapy shop, Bukit Bintang BEA Therapy Sdn. Bhd., which was 1 of the 3 branches of the company. It had 40 massage therapists, who were all Thai. Most of them came from North Eastern provinces. All workers had work permit. They lived well and had a salary of 35,000 Bath per month.
4)    To pay a visit to and to discuss official issues with Mr. Kamthorn Sithichoti, Ministe of the Royal Thai Embassy, Kuala Lumpur. On this regard, the Royal Thai Embassy hosted a welcoming party to honor the team.
