October 17, 2025, 09.00 hours – Pol. Lt. Col. Wannapong Kotcharak, Permanent Secretary of Labour, paid homage to the sacred symbols of the Ministry of Labour, including Phra Phuttha Sutthithammabophit, Phra Phuttha Chinnarat, the Chai Mongkhon Shrine, the Maha Phrom Thewarit Shrine, and the Chinphromma Shrine, on the occasion of officially assuming his new position as the Permanent Secretary of Labour.
Attending the ceremony to offer their congratulations were Mr. Samat Pattamasukon and Mr. Santi Nantasuwan, Deputy Permanent Secretaries of Labour, along with senior executives, civil servants, and officials from all affiliated agencies, who warmly welcomed him at the ground-floor hall of the Ministry of Labour building.
Pol. Lt. Col. Wannapong stated that assuming the role of Permanent Secretary of Labour is both a great honour and a vital responsibility in driving the government’s labour policies towards tangible results. He emphasised a comprehensive approach to work, focusing on promoting employment, developing workforce skills to meet labour market demands, ensuring fair protection and welfare for all groups of workers, and enhancing the quality of life of Thai workers towards stability and sustainability.
He also underscored the importance of collaboration among all agencies under the Ministry of Labour, guided by the principles of “Integration, Transparency, and Unity”, to ensure that the Ministry of Labour’s operations earn public trust and effectively deliver on the government’s policy objectives.
Pol. Lt. Col. Wannapong further affirmed his commitment to perform his duties with honesty, integrity, and transparency, working with dedication for the benefit of the people. He expressed his determination to drive the Ministry of Labour to become a dynamic organisation for change, strengthening the capabilities of the Thai workforce to keep pace with global developments and ensuring lasting security for all workers.
