MOL Congratulates Daily News on Starting 59th Year

          On March 28, 2022, Labour Minister Mr. Suchart Chomklin assigned the Labour Minister’s Advisor, Mrs. Thiwalrat Angkinan, the Ministry of Labour’s Inspector-General Mrs. Sopa Kieatnircha, and the Ministry of Labour’s executives on behalf of the Ministry of Labour, to congratulate Daily News on its 58th anniversary, starting its 59th year. Ms. Prapin Ruchirawong, Company Director from Si Phraya Printing Co., Ltd., received the flower basket. The occasion took place at the Daily News Building, Lak Si District, Bangkok.           Daily News is a daily newspaper reporting general News. It was founded by Mr. Saeng Hetrakul. The inaugural issue was published on March 28, 1964. At that time, it used the newspaper header “The Leading Daily News Era .”The newspaper had 16 pages and was priced at 1.00 Baht.           On March 22, 2022, Labour Minister Mr. Suchart Chomklin assigned the Labour Minister’s Advisor, Mrs. Thiwalrat Angkinan, the Ministry of Labour’s Spokesperson (on politics), Mrs. Thienrat Navamawat, the Phetchaburi Social Security Officer Mrs. Rasamee Sujto, and heads of government agencies under the Ministry of Labour in Phetchaburi Province, to visit the area to give gifts to build morale insured persons with disabilities in Tha Yang District, Phetchaburi Province.           The Labour Minister’s Advisor, Mrs. Thiwalrat Angkinan, said that Prime Minister and Minister of Defense General Prayuth Chan-ocha, Deputy Prime Minister General Prawit Wongsuwan, who oversees the Ministry of Labour and Labour Minister Mr. Suchart Chomklin, is concerned about insured employees with disabilities. Permanent Secretary of Labour Commences Open House for the Wellness Corporate Nation-Building Project to Promote Workers’ Quality of Life

            On March 17, 2022, at 13.30 hours, Labour Minister Mr. Suchart Chomklin assigned Permanent Secretary of Labour, Mr. Boonchob Suttamanaswong, to chare the opening of the Open House for the Wellness Corporate Nation-Building (Wellness CNB) project. Prof. Dr. Kriengsak Charoenwongsak (Dr. Dan), President of the Nation-Building Institute, gave a lecture on “the Wellness CNB award for sustainable business creation with a model wellness organization.” Over 100 organizations are interested in participating in onsite and online projects. MOL Commences Course to Create Impressive Services and Upgrade Labour Skills to Support the Tourism and Service industry in Satun Province

          Advisory Board Member to the Minister of Labour, Mr. Natthawat Teeratathamrong, gave opening remarks in training to enhance labour skills, the Impressive Service Creation Course, Class 1/2022. The training will take place from March 16 to 20, 2022, at the Ananya Lipe Hotel Meeting Room, Koh Salai Subdistrict, Mueang District, Satun Province. The Department of Skill Development’s Deputy Director-General, Mr. Chalermpong Boonrawd, gave a report. Permanent Secretary of Labour Concludes Training for Operational/Experienced Civil Servants (Finance and Accounting Officers)

On March 18, 2022, at 15.30, Permanent Secretary of Labour, Mr. Boonchob Suttamanaswong, presided over the conclusion of the training course for the development of civil servants at the operational/experienced level (finance and accounting officers) of the Ministry of Labour. The training included civil servants at the operational/experienced levels in finance and accounting from the Provincial Labour Office in every province for 76 people. Participants also joined from every department/Social Security Office, with ten people each, for 116 people. The training aims to develop the knowledge and understanding of finance and accounting work related to laws, regulations, audits and strengthen the skills necessary to perform tasks. Thai-Saudi Arabia Labour Agreement Ready to be Signed on March 28 Following PM Instructions

          Labour Minister Mr.Suchart Chomlin reported that Prime Minister General Prayuth Chan-ocha had traveled to Saudi Arabia on January 25-26 to restore the relationship and to drive cooperation in various fields between the two countries, as well as to push labour labor cooperation so that workers can be dispatched to work in Saudi Arabia as quickly as possible. On March 16, 2022, at 10.00 hours, Deputy Secretary-General to the Prime Minister for Political Affairs, Police General Dr. Thammasak Wicharaya, chaired the meeting of the Prevention of Forced Labour and Human Trafficking Subcommittee No. 1/2022. Permanent Secretary of Labour Commences Training to Develop Civil Servants at Operational and Experienced Levels

On March 14, 2022, at 08.30 hours, Permanent Secretary of Labour, Mr. Boonchob Suttamanaswong, presided over the training course commencement for the development of civil servants at the professional level (financial and accounting officers) of the Ministry of Labour. The occasion occurred at the Human Resources Management Division’s meeting room, 10th floor, Ministry of Labour. The training aims to develop the potential of civil servants at the operational/experienced level who are finance and accounting officers of the Ministry of Labour to have knowledge and understanding in finance and accounting. This involves laws, regulations, audits, and building the necessary skills. The training starts today until March 18, 2022, for a total of 5 days or 31 hours of training. Association Presidents Thank PM for Expediting Remedies for All Professions

            On February 22, 2022, the Ministry of Labour’s Spokesperson (on politics), Mrs. Thienrat Navamawat, spoke about the progress of payment under the insured persons’ compensation program for people in entertainment businesses and self-employed people, such as singers, musicians, and artists in entertainment places affected by government measures. Most recently, she received a report from the Social Security Office that, at present, the amount of compensation transferred to the said group has reached 116,755 people, totaling 583,775,000 Baht (as of February 18, 2022).             Mrs. Thienrat continued that people haven’t received the fund due to several reasons. Most of them are caused because the recipient’s PromptPay account has not been linked to their ID card number, followed by closed accounts and no accounts.
