Permanent Secretary of Labour Joins State Excellence Award Ceremony for 2021

            On September 16, 2021, at 13.00 hours, Permanent Secretary of Labour Mr. Suthi Sukosol participated in the award ceremony for the State Excellence Award for 2021. This year, the Public Sector Development Commission (PSDC) resolved to award the Government Management Award in Category 2, Strategic Planning and Communication into Practice, to the Office of the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Labour. MOL Organizes Thailand Labour Management Excellence Award 2021 to Award Three Organizations with Royal Trophy

The Ministry of Labour organized the Thailand Labour Management Excellence Award 2021 ceremony, awarding three organizations for the best workforce management system for 2021, committed to promoting a good quality of life for their employees. The companies are a model for organizational development and received a royal trophy from Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn.                      On September 16, 2021, Labour Minister Mr. Suchart Chomklin presided over the Thailand Labour Management Excellence Award 2021 ceremony, which took place at the Jompol P. Pibulsongkram meeting room, 5th floor, Ministry of Labour. Mr. Suchart said the award ceremony was held for the fifth consecutive year to award organizations with the best workforce management system. MOL State Enterprise Labour Relations Committee Meets for No. 6/2021

        On September 13, 2021, at 14.00 hours, Deputy Permanent Secretary of Labour Ms. Aumpun Thuwawit chaired the State Enterprise Labour Relations Committee Meeting No. 6/2021 via Zoom, along with the Department of Labour Protection and Welfare’s Director-General Mr. Apinya Sucharitanan, government representatives, employers and employee representatives, and relevant officials. The meeting considered improving the welfare related to motorcycles for use in off-site work for employees of the Metropolitan Waterworks Authority and setting the criteria for considering special welfare for employees working in the risky areas of the southern border provinces. The meeting considered the 3-year digital action plan (2021 – 2023) and the year 2022 of the Employee Welfare Fund, disposal of debt from the Employee Welfare Fund as bad debt, and requests for allowances other than compensation. Permanent Secretary of Labour Joins Panel Discussion at the International Conference for Building a Nation 2021

          On September 8, 2021, at 16.45 hours, Permanent Secretary of Labour Mr. Suthi Sukosol represented the Labour Minister, participating in the discussion at the 5th International Conference for Building a Nation, which took place in an online meeting format. Over 1,000 people attended, including important figures from the public and private sectors and scholars in various fields from many countries. Participants exchanged knowledge and experience in important issues related to nation-building in various fields so that social stakeholders and national policymakers are aware of important issues and can work together to drive solutions together. The topic of this discussion was strategies and guidelines for recovering from the COVID-19 crisis. The meeting is scheduled between September 8 to 9, 2021, at King Mongkut’s Institute of Technology Ladkrabang.           The Permanent Secretary of Labour participated in a panel discussion on Manpower Strategy and Education for Crisis Restoration and Nation Building.           On September 3, 2021, at 13.30 hours, the Assistant to the Permanent Secretary of Labour, Ms. Pattraporn Samantarat, chaired the meeting of the Working Group for Studying, Analyzing, Researching, and Determining Policy Proposals on International Labour Economy No. 3/2021. MOL Organizes “Workers Unite to Donate Blood; One Donor, Many Recipients” Blood Donation Event No. 3/2021

          On September 3, 2021, at 10.30 hours, the Labour Minister’s Advisor, Mrs. Thiwalrat Angkinan, and Deputy Permanent Secretary of Labour Ms. Aumphun Thuwawit as Deputy President of the Ministry of Labour’s Housewives Association, supported blood donors at the “Workers Unite to Donate Blood; One Donor, Many Recipients” event No. 3/2021. The visit encouraged the blood donors to donate blood regularly every three months to ensure sufficient blood donations for patients across the country. This is the third blood donation activity in 2021. The Ministry of Labour, together with its Housewives Association and the National Blood Service Center, the Thai Red Cross Society, hosted the event at the Jompol P. Assistant Minister from PM Office Performing Duties at MOL Concludes Project to Resolve Occupational Issues in 2021 Fiscal Year in Sisaket

          On August 30, 2021, at 14.30 hours, Assistant Minister from the Prime Minister’s Office, performing duties at the Ministry of Labour, Mr. Pornsak Charoenprasert, presided over the project’s closing ceremony to resolve occupational issues in the 2021 fiscal year in Sisaket Province. Advisor to the Labour Minister Mr. Thanakrit Jirivipakorn and the heads of government agencies under the Ministry of Labour of Sisaket Province, members of the Council of Provincial Administrative Organizations from Sisaket District 2, Mr. Parichot Jaruratakul and Samrong Subdistrict Headsman Mr. Pairote Thongpab, also joined the closing ceremony. The Ministry of Labour has supported the budget for two activities in Samrong and Khae Sub-Districts, Udomphon Phisai District, Sisaket Province, to help people in the areas affected by the COVID-19 pandemic, natural disasters, and suffered from occupational difficulties amid the economic crisis and unemployment. MOL Joins State Enterprise Labour Relations Committee Meeting No. 5/2021

          On August 30, 2021, at 09.30 hours, Permanent Secretary of Labour Mr. Suthi Sukosol chaired the State Enterprise Labour Relations Committee Meeting No. 5/2021 via Zoom. The Department of Labour Protection and Welfare’s Director-General, Mr. Apinya Sucharitanan, government representatives, representatives of employers and employees, and relevant officials also attended this meeting. The meeting considered determining the scope of employment conditions related to financing for state enterprises that the state enterprise relationship may be able to handle on its own under Section 13 (2) of the State Enterprise Labour Relations Act, B.E. 2543 in the case of procuring COVID19 vaccinations. It also covered the determination of the scope of employment conditions related to financing for state enterprises which may be carried handled on its own under Section 13 (2) of the State Enterprise Labour Relations Act, B.E. 2543 regarding room and food expenses in case of receiving medical treatment in a medical facility. MOL Joins Subcommittee Meeting on Monitoring, Advising and Accelerating National Reforms and the Preparation and Implementation of the National Security Strategy No. 23/2021

          Today (August 25, 2021) at 13.30 hours, Permanent Secretary of Labour Mr. Suthi Sukosol assigned Deputy Permanent Secretary of Labour Mr. Niyom Songkaew joined the subcommittee meeting on monitoring advising and accelerating national reforms and the preparation and implementation of the National Strategy on Security no. 23/2021. The First Deputy Chairman of the Committee, General Worapong Sanganet, chaired the meeting, which took place online via Cisco Webex Meetings at the Saengsingkaew meeting room, 5th floor, Ministry of Labour. The meeting considered the action results to prevent and solve human trafficking, following the plan on prevention and resolution of problems affecting the security in terms of maintaining internal security within the Kingdom and guidelines on national development: a prevention and resolution plan to human trafficking problems in 2021. PM Reiterates Labour Minister to Look After Workers Traveling to Work in Israeli Agricultural Sector and is Delighted that the Demand for Thai Workers Reached the 2021 Target

          On August 25, 2021, Labour Minister Mr. Suchart Chomklin visited and gave words of encouragement to 142 Thai workers traveling to work in the agricultural sector under the Thailand-Israel Cooperation on the Placement of Workers (TIC) project. The occasion took place at Suvarnabhumi Airport, Muang District, Samut Prakan Province. The Ministry of Labour’s Advisor, Mrs. Thiwalrat Angkinan, the Labour Minister’s Secretariat Mr. Suthep Chitayawong, Pol.Maj.Gen. Nantachat Supamongkol from the Office of the Prime Minister’s Secretariat, performing duties for the Ministry of Labour, the Ministry of Labour’s Spokesperson (on politics) Mrs. Theanrat Nawamawat, Permanent Secretary of Labour Mr. Suthi Sukosol, the Director-General of the Department of Employment Mr. Phairoj Chotikasathian and the Ministry of Labour’s executives also joined the occasion. Mr. Suchart said that Prime Minister General Prayuth Chan-ocha and Deputy Prime Minister General Prawit Wongsuwan, which supervises the Ministry of Labour, focuses on promoting Thai workers to travel abroad and have a job and bring income into the country, especially amid the COVID-19 situation.
