On August 27, 2021, at 09.30 hours, Permanent Secretary of Labour Mr. Suthi Sukosol chaired the Marine Labour Committee Meeting No. 2/2021. The meeting considered the Department of Labour Protection and Welfare’s Draft Announcement on the criteria and procedures for retaliation against competent officials by mail, fax, electronic mails or any other means B.E.… and an amendment to the Ministry of Transport’s announcement regarding the rules, procedures, and conditions for a competent official to board a Thai vessel or enter the shipowner’s office and workplace to inspect the use of marine labour. The meeting took place at the Prof. Nikom Chandravithu meeting room, 5th floor, Department of Labour Protection and Welfare, Ministry of Labour.
