On Monday, June 6, 2022, Permanent Secretary of Labour, Mr. Boonchob Suttamanaswong, assigned Academic Labour Advisor Mrs. Napasorn Toongsooksai as representative of the Ministry of Labour to attend the Senate meeting to monitor, recommend and expedite national reform and implementation of the national strategy under Article 270 of the Constitution of the Kingdom of Thailand. Labour Minister Mr. Suchart Chomklin spoke about the progress of the policy of sending Thai workers to work in Saudi Arabia. He said that according to a report from the Labour Office in Saudi Arabia, Riyadh, it was found that employers in Saudi Arabia had previously reported the need for Thai workers in a total of 309 positions. Mr. Suchart added that Prime Minister and Minister of Defense General Prayuth Chan-ocha, and Deputy Prime Minister General Prawit Wongsuwan, who oversees the Ministry of Labour, have the policy to promote employment for all Thai people, especially the acceleration of sending Thai workers to work in Saudi Arabia. On May 20, 2022, the Labour Minister Mr. Suchart Chomklin welcomed Mr. Noriyuki Kitasato, President of Aishin Asia Pacific Co., Ltd., and his team, on meeting the Labour Minister to receive a certificate for the blue factory establishment through the the “Factory Sandbox Project.” The certificate was awarded to Aishin Corporation, a subsidiary of automobile manufacturers.
