Department of Labor Protection and Welfare 12 million debt reduction, employees and state enterprise employees

          Mr. Ananchai Uthaiwattanachep, Director General of the Department of Labor Protection and Welfare revealed that the Department of Labor Protection and Welfare has developed a loan scheme for good quality of life according to the King Philosophy to allow savings cooperatives in business establishments and state enterprises to borrow money through labor funds. This is to be done to employees who are members of savings cooperatives in business establishments and state enterprises with low income used to relieve the burden of informal liabilities, credit card debt, as well as to develop their own income and family.

          On February 19, 2018, the Labor Fund Executive Committee has approved a loan.

          According to the loan scheme for good quality of life according to the King Philosophy. The two savings cooperatives in the business establishments are the Employee Saving Cooperative Limited on the amount of 5.62 million baht and the savings cooperative staff of Tha Sae Estate Co., Ltd. amount of 7 million baht, totaling 12.62 million baht. The total of 997 workers benefited.

          Director-General of the Department of Labor Protection and Welfare continued that the loan program for the good quality of life according to the King Philosophy has a budget of 50 million baht by lenders to savings cooperatives by lending to savings cooperative or state enterprise with a maximum of 10 million baht. State enterprise or savings cooperative are interested in joining the program and can apply for a loan from the Fund. Details of the project and related documents are available until July 31, 2018.
